Oh.\u00a0 My. \u00a0 God.\u00a0 I’ve figured out why we all get spam!\u00a0 Because it works! <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

There are enough of us who click on that advertisement or spam email or call about the flyer or menu you got in the mail to make the entire process worth\u00a0 it.\u00a0 Not worth it to you, you’re an\u00a0 idiot!\u00a0 But to the advertiser and marketer and seller.. totally worth it!
\n<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

How do I know this?\u00a0 Because last night I sent out a broadcast email to 1300 of our past customers (half of the emails we have) letting them know that we have “ON SALE!”<\/em> ….\u00a0 our vhs tapes. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

I truly was almost embarrassed to send this out.\u00a0 I mean, WHO still uses vhs?\u00a0 Uses vhs enough to BUY a new one, even if it is on sale for $5.00..\u00a0 WHO!!\u00a0 I figured, no one… this is a waste of time.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

And then I went in to work today.\u00a0 OMG.\u00a0 The amount of people ordering vhs tapes from our shopping cart was baffling!\u00a0 This was VHS!!!\u00a0 I spent all day printing! <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Last night it took me 2 hours to get half the list emailed out.\u00a0 At my deservedly high salary that’s about $35 – $40 expense.\u00a0 We needed at least 8 vhs tapes sold to make that money back.\u00a0 I crossed my fingers as I sent out batches of email 25 at a time.\u00a0\u00a0 Yet, in less than 24 hours we’ve sold 35.\u00a0 35 vhs video tapes of videos that were mostly made in 1984!!!<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

This must be what the first bottled water salesman felt like.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
