I must admit I like the way tattoos look.\u00a0 Not heavy tattoos and not every tattoo.\u00a0 But when a man has a bit of eye catching ink on his body I am the opposite of\u00a0 turned off.\u00a0 I do like the bicep circlet on a man if it doesn’t look gang related because that’s my favorite part of their body and a tattoo draws the eyes.<\/strong><\/p>\n

My friend, my girl friend, gets a tattoo every time she goes to Vegas.\u00a0 Nothing fancy and her husband has tats so its not shock factor.\u00a0 Her friend has the names of her kids written in script around her ankle and and several other tattoos.\u00a0 And I since I like to look at tattoos I thought maybe I’d like to get one.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Immediately I was introduced to the two types of reasons to get tattoos.\u00a0 Some get them because the symbol or tat or name means something they want permanently announced.\u00a0 Gang tats that indicate affiliation and status, name tats of that loved one or lost one, or self encouragement tats like, the symbol for Strength or Endurance in another language.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Then there is the people who tat for adornment.\u00a0 And I fall into that category.\u00a0 I like the look of tattoos, like I like the look of facial hair on a man or a pedicure on a woman.\u00a0 So imagining what and where I’d get on ME was kind of easy.\u00a0 I’ve always wanted to wear jewelry on my ankles, but never found something I liked.\u00a0\u00a0 Then in Vegas we passed a temporary tattoo place and I jumped at it.<\/strong><\/p>\n

At first I thought as a writer I’d get something pithy and sexy, like my saying.. “love is nice, sex is great, but fetish will take you to new places!”\u00a0 But then I pictured my 8 year old asking, “Mom, what’s fetish mean?”\u00a0 So.. not.. ready..\u00a0 for that!\u00a0 So I scrapped the word idea for now.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Then I couldn’t decide on the right anklet design from what they had.\u00a0 I’m not into thorns and blood NOR am I into flowers and happy little bees.\u00a0 They did have a beautiful vine design but it had daisies.\u00a0 I like the dragonflies but it has leaves, flowers and bees also.\u00a0 So we combined the two substituting daisies for<\/strong><\/p>\n

It’s supposed to last 4-6 weeks and its already fading.\u00a0 It didn’t hurt a bit, only cost about $40 and the best part.. I think I can get a kit to do it myself! <\/strong><\/p>\n

Actually, my vacation partner drew his own little tattoo on my ass and was so impressed with his steady hand and I impressed by how well he drew from memory the Cat woman tattoo we were looking at at the tattoo shop that I’m thinking of having him do different temporary tattoo designs every time this one fades until<\/strong><\/p>\n

I find the right one I love.\u00a0 Then bite the bullet and spend the money to get it permanent.<\/strong>
\nBy then he’ll be able to hire himself out to parties!\u00a0 Set up a station at the beach, do a temp tattoo in between surfing the waves!\u00a0\u00a0 Its amazingly easy, fun and lucrative! <\/strong><\/p>\n

I realized..\u00a0 THIS is where all those people who drew in their school notebooks ended up utilizing their talent when they just couldn’t stop drawing but couldn’t make a living with it.\u00a0 They became tattoo artists!\u00a0 And why are tattoo artists always so covered in tattoos?\u00a0 Because when you’re learning no one but yourself wants you to PRACTICE on them!\u00a0 Then as you get better you can learn how to turn a bad tattoo into a good one!\u00a0 You’ll have all those first tats on your left arm to work with!
