I am NOT late on a Valentines Day post.\u00a0 I celebrated the entire weekend before the day and had to spend Monday recuperating from a not-enough-sleep\/too-much-sugar Hangover, thankyouverymuch,fuckoff.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Anyway… its Tuesday (or whatever day I actually post this<\/em>, *blink blink- is it 2011?!! blink blink*)\u00a0 and I was giggling over the production that Valentines Day has become.\u00a0 Even more I was giggling at the production that Non-Valentines Day has become in the “Happy I’m Single” crap floating all over the internet and across my Facebook page.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

In my bleary-eyed, Advil-haze I came to the conclusion that Americans NEED to celebrate.\u00a0 We need to look forward to at least ONE thing a month.\u00a0 I mean, duh!\u00a0 Look at the breakdown:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

January – New Years<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

February – Valentines Day & Presidents Day (who cares for some its a day off work!!<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

March – St. Patrick’s Day<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

April – Spring Break<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

May – Mother’s Day & Memorial Day
\n<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

June – Father’s Day<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

July – 4th of July<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

August – the month everyone takes a vacation month (cuz we grasp at anything)
\n<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

September – Labor Day<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

October – Halloween<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

November – Thanksgiving<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

December – Christmas
\n<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Its an obvious pattern.\u00a0 So just roll with it baby!\u00a0 No need to go all crazy or even anti-holiday crazy… its an excuse to mark time.\u00a0 Hell, this is probably how calendars got started in the FIRST place!\u00a0 Cave woman needed SOMETHING to celebrate every month OTHER than the fact she wasn’t pregnant… AGAIN!<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
