{"id":2031,"date":"2011-03-25T11:19:35","date_gmt":"2011-03-25T18:19:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.heatherbarton.com\/?p=2031"},"modified":"2025-11-02T21:09:13","modified_gmt":"2025-11-03T04:09:13","slug":"to-shave-or-not-to-shave","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.heatherbarton.com\/?p=2031","title":{"rendered":"To shave or not to shave&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Ok this post may fall into the TMI category to some people but you all know how I enjoy passing on observations.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>A thousand years ago when I was first single, I met a man who wanted to shave me &#8220;down there&#8221;.\u00a0 So as a lark I said sure.\u00a0 It was interesting for about a day and then it began to grow back. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>OMG\u00a0 it was like I had a disease!\u00a0 It itched soooooo much and I spent a lot of time quietly trying NOT to scratch the agony!\u00a0 I swore I&#8217;d never do that again.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Well, when I began dating again there were many questions about the level of personal grooming I did.\u00a0 I proudly stated that I trim but don&#8217;t shave and related that story.\u00a0 And that was fine until I met a man who was very urgent in his desire to shave me.\u00a0 So I let him.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>And liked it.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>I like the way the smooth skin felt.\u00a0 And it didn&#8217;t itch anywhere near as bad as that first time when it began to grow back.\u00a0 So I&#8217;ve maintained it.\u00a0 At least most of it.\u00a0 Because its the top part that itches when it grow back, so THAT part I keep trimmed.\u00a0 The rest I keep pretty shaved.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>And this has led to an interesting observation.\u00a0 I think I&#8217;ve discovered WHY women have pubic hair.\u00a0 Beyond the fact that it allows us to use pheromones to signal the opposite sex, it does ONE other thing.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>It gives our pee a direction! <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Without it, the pee juuuuust kinda goes willy nilly a little.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Wheeeee.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>This does NOT stop me from shaving.\u00a0 Cuz I&#8217;d rather use a little\u00a0 more TP to clean up than deal with the hassle of accidentally pulling a pubic hair when I&#8217;m trying to remove a tampon!<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Its all about the trade-off&#8217;s people!<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ok this post may fall into the TMI category to some people but you all know how I enjoy passing on observations.
