<\/a>But Incubus played Coachella in ’09 I think so maybe Coachella wanted a newer headliner… but that doesn’t explain Black Keys headlining Friday night!\u00a0 They played last year (and I was NOT impressed).\u00a0 I have no idea why Young The Giant wasn’t invited.\u00a0 And can only growl over it.<\/p>\nIn any case, Awolnation will be there and I do know they are fun to watch play!!\u00a0 So THAT is good.\u00a0 And I just heard THIS song which I think is pretty damn wonderful.<\/p>\n
Gotye – Somebody That I Used to Know<\/a><\/p>\n (Although the rest of their album is a little underwhelming. And I like the video version performed by Walks Off The Earth….\u00a0\u00a0 its just kinda really cool to watch!)<\/p>\n Walks Off the Earth version – Sombody I Used to Know<\/a><\/p>\n All the other bands listed, I really don’t know. lol.\u00a0 So THIS time, I’m going to try a new tactic for Coachella.\u00a0 I’m going to download the albums of the 98.7 & KROQ bands & really KNOW all the music before I see the artists perform.\u00a0 I usually discover a new band or two at Coachella.. like in 2010 \u00a0Vampire Weekend<\/a>\u00a0 which is freakin a dance blast to watch in concert… and a British gem,\u00a0 Frank Turner And in 2011 I fell in love with\u00a0 \u00a0Jack\\’s Mannequin<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0 who is just amazing to watch in concert and the lead singer has battled leukemia which makes his lyrics soooo very interesting.\u00a0 And downloaded Cold War Kids album & Cage the Elephant although I regret not seeing Cage… but had to squirm thru Black Keys to get a good standing space for Mumford & Sons and THAT was sooo, soooo worth it!!\u00a0 OK… one more you gotta hear…\u00a0 Swim by Jacks Mannequin<\/a><\/p>\n This year I’m doing 2 things different.\u00a0 I’m going to try to KNOW the bands before I go see them to maximize\u00a0 my enjoyment… and I’ve rented two condo\/hotel spaces for the event.\u00a0 One for my friends and one for my lovers. \ud83d\ude42\u00a0 Both sleep six…<\/p>\n So I’ll be having fun at Coachella no matter who is paying!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" So the lineup for who is playing on what day for the Coachella Music Festival was released Monday.\u00a0 And I was soooo disappointed.\u00a0 No Incubus.\u00a0 No Young the Giant.\u00a0 Two bands I was really, really hoping would play.\u00a0 After all, … Continue reading
