The most interesting part was this win was at a bar instead of at the 987 Penthouse.\u00a0 (I’ve since learned they have a new penthouse so perhaps back then they were in the process of being evicted.. lol.. they DID blow out the electrical several times!)\u00a0\u00a0 It was also smack dab in the daytime and downtown Hollywood.\u00a0 So parking was challenging, we drank before noon and the small bar was crowded while we waited to get into the band area.\u00a0\u00a0 I did get a portable charger out of it \ud83d\ude00<\/p>\n
Bastille (at that time) was my favorite band.\u00a0 I was eating up their music and seeing them live was on my concert list.\u00a0 Ironically, I was almost blase about the whole thing.\u00a0\u00a0 I was smack in the middle of seasonal work at Costco and I’d been scheduled to work a shift that day.\u00a0 They managed to push my start time back but they said, “Get here when you can, we’ll take care of it.” not…\u00a0 come in at 2pm.\u00a0 So I was planning to rush to work after the concert to try and NOT piss them off.\u00a0 It kind of took the thrill and excitement out of the concert.\u00a0 Plus I couldn’t drink more than one light drink if I was going to be working!<\/p>\n
Once the concert was over, they didn’t mention anything about getting pix with the band and I was fretting about Costco so we scampered out and went on our way.\u00a0 (I forgot to bring my tennies so I did my shift in my boots!\u00a0 Ouch!)<\/p>\n I still enjoy Bastille’s music (even if they aren’t my fave anymore) and I would definitely choose to see them if they were at a festival.\u00a0 But not so much in a single concert.\u00a0\u00a0 Single Concert choices is a SHORT list…\u00a0\u00a0 Mumford & Sons, Panic at the Disco, Saint Motel, Imagine Dragons & Twenty One Pilots are so far the only ones on THAT list.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Yes, I did it again.\u00a0 Hey!\u00a0 Don’t hate!\u00a0 I just happen to be one of the FEW who enter the online contests instead of trying to win over the phone.\u00a0 Of course, this win was last November (2014) and that’s … Continue reading <\/a>The band played their usual 4 songs and they were wonderful!\u00a0 But we wanted to enjoy their music and performance more than wanted to see them up close so we ended up in a corner.\u00a0 We had a great SIDE view of the band!\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 And they were introduced by the new morning crew of 98.7 The Woody Show.\u00a0 I dislike the new morning show IMMENSELY and\u00a0 seeing the crew didn’t change my impression of them in any way.<\/p>\n
