ST. PATRICK’S DAY!!!<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

I had a truly unique experience this St. Patrick’s Day.\u00a0 My date took me to a little Irish Pub called McClune’s down in Tustin.\u00a0 We went a little early to make sure we got a table because it was quite crowded last year when he went.\u00a0 No problem this time as it wasn’t as popular with the younger crowd this year but the regulars were there in numbers.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

In other words, I could count on one hand the number of people under my age! <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

But we weren’t there for the crowd.\u00a0 We were all there to have fun and see the entertainment.\u00a0 Which was singing on stage.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Oh… My… God!\u00a0 I’d never seen a performance like this.\u00a0 This Elvis was less an Elvis impersonator and more a singer who looked A<\/em> LOT<\/em> like Elvis.\u00a0 No sequins or sunglasses, but the sideburns and the general dress was very, very Elvis.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

With his elaborate Karaoke machine he took requests mixed in with his regular songs.\u00a0 But he only knew songs from the 50’s thru the 90’s… so basically, from the last century.\u00a0 And I love music from this century much more.\u00a0 So did my date, but he also loves fun and to bring out the fun in me and he was right, we had a blast.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The music was a huge mixture of songs and I marveled how he kept his voice up singing and singing.\u00a0 The crowd was a bunch of 50 thru 100 year olds all dressed up and dancing.\u00a0 And they had these come back lines to most of the songs that they would shout back up at Elvis.\u00a0 I kept flashing back to Rocky Horror Picture Show and was thankful there wasn’t popcorn in their hands to throw at him!<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

A truly amazing time!\u00a0 I laughed and danced and participated, drank Baileys and Skinny Bitches (drinks) and tried hard to keep my hands off my date before we ended up doing it on the pool table in the back!<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

We did come away with the desire to take dancing classes together after watching the way this one couple showed everyone up by salsa dancing rings around the rest of us!
\n<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Like I said, he loves to have fun!\u00a0 Thinks he’s going to teach me to surf!\u00a0 HA!\u00a0 Not me!!!\u00a0 But Eithne is thrilled with that idea, she’s ready to get on board!
\n<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

God I just couldn’t resist the pun!!!<\/em>
