We did more “celebrating” (with toys & outfits) the days BEFORE Valentines than the actual day.\u00a0 Since on the actual day of Valentines, we were packing up & flying back to Los Angeles from Washington DC.\u00a0\u00a0 But it was the best present we could give each other.\u00a0 Two days together without any of the usual responsibilities, kids, work, etc.<\/p>\n
On the long plane ride home, I read while he watched the in-flight movie & napped.\u00a0\u00a0 And I found it difficult to keep my eyes & hands off him.\u00a0 I’ve told him several times that I adore the shell his soul has chosen.\u00a0 Almost as much as I adore his personality (his soul) itself.\u00a0 Don’t even get me started on his back… God I adore that span of muscle & skin, so broad & strong…. just flipping sexy as hell!<\/p>\n
Mmmmmmmmm.<\/p>\n
But the point is, our lifestyle isn’t for everyone, but it works for us.\u00a0 It works really, really well for us.\u00a0 Which is all anyone can ask for.\u00a0 Its not traditional, but it is genuine.\u00a0 And often more honest than many relationships.\u00a0 We are very honest about our needs, our expectations and our ability to fit both into our busy life.<\/p>\n
Some people can’t wrap their heads around it because monogamy is their thing.\u00a0 And some even envy it because its free of many of the pitfalls of a normal relationship.\u00a0 But most are just happy we are happy.\u00a0 Because that’s all anyone really wants.\u00a0 The happiness of another person.<\/p>\n
People bitch about Valentines Day being a commercial holiday.\u00a0 Oh it definitely is… but its also another reason to celebrate love, whether that’s with a member of the opposite sex or just someone you love.\u00a0 Your parents, your kids, your best friend, your pets.\u00a0 Who ever…\u00a0 use the holiday to FEEL that emotion wherever it is in your life.\u00a0\u00a0 And if you find yourself whining about where its NOT in your life… change it.\u00a0 You got a year!<\/p>\n
