My kids love television.\u00a0 And honestly so do I.\u00a0 Is it bad they watch so much television?\u00a0 Probably. \u00a0But I did too as a kid and managed to turn out… oh, not soooo bad!\u00a0 Hee hee.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The funny thing is the way they watch television.\u00a0 They all have their preferences and negotiate which shows to watch, because they always watch together.\u00a0The oldest controls the remote as he’s compulsive about following his father’s rule about\u00a0fast forwarding through the commercials.\u00a0\u00a0 The middle one prefers live action shows and the other two cartoons.\u00a0 Although recently the oldest has started to see the appeal of some live action\u00a0pre-teen shows.\u00a0 (He’s finally emotionally catching up to his “normal” brother.) \u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

They\u00a0then discuss the shows when they are together and NOT watching television.\u00a0\u00a0 Most of the conversations revolve around a re-hash of the episodes but with one show they do a lot of discussing the crazy anomalies.\u00a0 That show is Sponge Bob Square Pants.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Apparently the fact that the show is all underwater has never escaped the notice of my children.\u00a0 They love the running concept that there is a campfire, under water.\u00a0 And a glass of water, under water.\u00a0\u00a0 And a fire department, under water.\u00a0 On and on they go coming up with all the “impossibilities” they’ve seen on the show.\u00a0 Then the 8 year old says in his adorable little boy voice,<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

“Yeah, but in cartoons it’s okay to defy the Laws of Physics.”<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The 10 year adds his opinion, “Especially if they’re stupid.”<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Again, I’m laughing and they don’t know why.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Because I’m watching my own anomaly of hearing the phrase, “Laws of Physics” out of my 8 year old!<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
