This is one of my favorite scenes from my novel. But only Part One, cuz its obviously way too long to read in one load.. which is my whole problem with my book.. its too long! lol Part Two will come later and be much dirtier! Let me know if you like it. 🙂
I had been playing Cat and teaching the class for almost four years when one First Friday at Blake’s by ten P.M. I had to admit I wasn’t going to have a student. The system had been running smoothly for so long I was bemused at the possibility of having a month off. M.O.S.A.’s membership had grown incredibly since that first meeting and the annual dues easily paid expenses.
Michelle handled the books and Rosalind handled enrollment. She did an incredible job coordinating referrals from students and members alike. She juggled the boys at the University with the local ones away for University and limited it to a number I could handle.
Surprisingly it was Jennifer and Lindsey who handled new membership. It was by invitation only with the members choosing to keep quiet the purpose of M.O.S.A.. Jennifer supplied the enthusiasm for the concept and Lindsey the conviction this was a mother’s responsibility. The original members had accepted my anonymity and never pressed for a real name. They had even sprung for Cat to have her own transportation which they housed in an apartment complex Ruth owned. It was rumored many a former student had spent hours hanging around the place hoping to catch Cat ‘at home’.
So it seemed impossible no student would show up. When Julio relieved Chris at the door of the club for his break Chris shook his head at me on his way to the back. I was wondering just how long I was supposed to wait so I sent Rosalind a quick text. She called me back almost immediately. She’ll read a text message if she has to but if she has something to say she’ll call.
“I’m so sorry, Cat,” Rosalind said with her usual grace and style. “Jessica’s wedding has been taking all my time. I meant to call you and tell you the one student we’d lined up had a family emergency and left town.”
“Ros, the room is all prepped so I don’t think they will be giving us a refund on it.”
“Well then get some actual sleep in it this time. M.O.S.A. can well afford it and God knows you deserve it.”
“Alright, then I guess I’ll call it an early evening.”
I was about to say goodbye when Rosalind added, “Are you sure you won’t come to the wedding?”
“No matter how Jessica feels about Gregory being one of Cat’s boys, she is not going to want Cat at her wedding, Rosalind. How would I possibly be able to pull off the mystique of Cat and NOT upstage the bride?”
Rosalind laughed. I was thankful everyone took my refusals so well, but frankly it baffled me why the girlfriends and spouses wanted so much to meet me. I may have taught their young men about women and how to please them, but you’d think more women would be jealous by that!
I put the phone back in my case as Chris came over and sat down in the empty stool next to me. I looked at him and he smiled.
“No students tonight?” he asked as Joe served him water. Joe leaned his arm on the bar and watched me also.
“Apparently there was a cancellation.”
I could only grin at both men. Their intent was very, very obvious. Chris had never sat next to me on his break. Of course I was usually with students so any space next to me was always occupied. But in all the years of coming to Blake’s I had never seen him so much as glance at a female. And here he was devouring me with his eyes.
Chris was the epitome of a bouncer/doorman. He wore a tight t-shirt to emphasize the muscle he worked hard to maintain. It helped him look threatening. He kept his hair buzzed to a heavy five o’clock shadow on his head and let his face match. He looked darkly Hispanic, dangerous and handsome, with surprisingly blue eyes.
I turned to Joe and saw what the man had been offering for years clear on his face. Then I realized Joe’s physique had steadily gotten sexier in the last four years. I’d assumed he was just wearing tighter shirts but he must have been purposefully building his upper body and I’d been too wrapped up in teaching to notice. His hair, when I had first met him, had been cut short to hide the generous grey but he’d let it grow out. Now it was just long enough on top to pull off the tousled look he was sporting well. It was intriguing to see the white and grey and blond blend.
Leaning up and over I reached and ran my fingers through Joe’s tousled hair. It was gloriously soft without gel or anything holding it in place.
“I’ve wanted to do that for so long,” I whispered to him trailing my fingers along his face and sat down slowly giving Joe a generous look down my top.
“Cat,” he growled and I looked down the bar at a waiving arm and interrupted him by pointing at it. Joe cussed under his breath and went to make a drink.
“Minx,” Chris said from next to me with a chuckle.
I turned to him with my sly smile and ran a hand along his bicep keeping my lashes lowered to watch my fingers. “Do you have time in your break for a dance?” I looked up into his eyes.
“Oh yes,” and with two hands he lifted me easily off the stool, effortlessly holding me in the air for the second it took him to slide off his own and plant me on my feet in front of him. The act rocked desire through me and he saw it in my eyes. He grinned, running his hands slowly down my waist to stop at my hips and pivot me in the direction of the dance floor.
Glancing once behind me coyly I sashayed toward the floor with my sexiest Cat walk. I raised my arms to lift my long hair and swung it leisurely about so Chris could get the occasional clear and unobstructed view of the special First Friday little black dress with all the straps along the back.
Bobby, DJ, saw me standing at the entrance of the dance floor. I had my arms braced on the poles bracketing the entrance. Chris was pressed behind me with his nose in my hair and his hands on my hips. I caught Bobby’s eyes and I grinned, a wild smile. His mouth dropped a little as he took in what he saw. He moved to his microphone, softened the volume of the song playing even though it wasn’t nearly over and his voice moved over the crowd.
“A special request tonight for a very special lady, folks. For Cat, oh and Chris, I hate you.”
I laughed out loud and strutted onto the floor. Bobby played one of my numbers and I danced a seductive version of Flamenco around a grinning Chris. The crowd didn’t thin as much as give us a little room to do our stuff. We barely noticed.
I felt intoxicated. Cat was controlled, leisurely and focused on teaching. I hadn’t had a chance to truly let loose with all of my own sexuality in fifteen years if you counted the years I was married. I danced for the pure seduction of touching and taunting Chris. It didn’t matter the consequences because we knew we’d be sleeping together tonight and would probably never do it again.
When the song ended Chris tried to catch me for a kiss but I skipped away and off the dance floor. I walked without any of Cat’s leisure. Sexy struts took me to my stool. Joe met me there with a resigned frown on his face. He thought I had chosen Chris over him. Silly, sexy man, I thought.
I sat on the stool and lay an arm across the bar toward Joe. My fingers just touched his arm.
“Joe,” I purred at him, my eyes on his forearm. He just watched me. “Can Bill handle the bar alone?”
I met his eyes and looked at him with my intent there. His features changed as he smiled and said, “We’ll see won’t we.”
I felt Chris’s presence warm my back and heard him say from behind me, “Well, I guess my break’s over.” I reached my other hand out to his arm and drew him closer to me.
“The crowd is pretty light tonight, Joe” I crooned persuasively. “Can’t Julio take the door for the rest of the evening?”
I watched Joe look at me then lock eyes over my head with Chris. I heard Chris rumble behind me, “She is used to more than one.”
Joe laughed and said, “I’m not sure two will be enough.”
“It will have to be,” I commented, “Because after you bring me a Kamikaze, Joe, we are leaving.”
Joe moved off to make the drink and I glanced over my shoulder to Chris.
“Do you know my health requirements?”
“Joe, Bill, Bobby and I get tested every week before First Friday for just this opportunity,” he said as he ran his hands down my hair, “man I love your hair.”
Joe came over with three Madori Kamikaze’s and we each took one.
Joe held his up and said, “To Cat.” Chris echoed, “To Cat.”
I grinned and thought it would be silly to say ‘to me’ so I said, “To Freedom for one night.”
We downed our drinks and headed for the exit.
Chris explained to Julio he would be doing the door for the rest of the evening and Julio looked at me and began cursing his own bad luck. We laughed. Just outside the door I stopped and turned around to face the two men with me.
“Do you both know where the Suite is?”
Chris nodded and Joe said, “Cat’s Suite.”
I took off my shoes a little regretful I’d be ruining good hose. But it was my night tonight, Sarah’s not Cat’s. I stepped backward slowly away from them, shoes in hand, as I talked.
“Alright gentlemen, here’s the challenge. Whoever can catch me first gets me first. And if you catch me before I get to the building, you get a blow job and I do so love blow jobs.”
