My favorite annual vacation is right around the corner. Mid-April I go to the 3 day music festival in Coachella. I’ve blogged about how much fun it was last year. And I’ve blogged about how I’m trying to work it in a way its mostly free for me.

That’s the list of all the “YES!” choices and the Maybe choices that Sex God and I choose. Out of 182 Dj’s, Bands & Artists THESE were the ones we liked. It took 2 days just to get through them! And Yes, we will miss a few as they cross and play at the same time on a different stage. SIX stages, my friends.
The sweetest part was how “in sync” Sex God and I are about music. We’d listen to a song, watching the video quietly for about half of it. Then one of us… sometimes him and sometimes me… would voice the first opinion. Whenever he went first I was always amazed at how right on we agreed.
And as much as we agree musically, there were a few bands or artists I thought I wouldn’t want to sit through that he liked. If the guitar work was good, he like it. Me, I’ve got higher standards. Nice guitar work is appreciated, but I need good lyrics AND a voice I enjoy!
There were a lot of “Maybe” choices. Bands or artists I thought might be enjoyable, but if they performed at the same time as a favorite… well, I wasn’t going to give THAT up!
And there are A LOT of favorites!
Jimmy Eat World, The Black Keys, Brendon Flowers, The Strokes, Kings of Leon, Arcade Fire, Cold War Kids, Flogging Molly, Ms Lauryn Hill, Cage the Elephant, Mumford & Sons, Foster the People and Neon Trees.
God help us if any of THOSE hot bands are playing on any of the 6 stages simultaneously!
