Funny story from Kindergarden

I’m reminded of a funny incident from when Conor went (and passed) kindergarten.  It went like this.

Conor… Mom, today we played a new game and I want to tell you about it.

Okay, first off let’s be honest.  We all know that kids don’t organize their thoughts that well.  I paraphrased because the actual conversation was done while walking a dancing, bouncing pattern and sounded like this… “Mom… I want to tell you… we played a new game… well it was a game I never played… it was just me and some friends… Mrs. West [teacher]… I want to tell you about this new game we played.”

And he wonders why I interrupt him sometimes.

Me… Ooo a new game!

Conor… Yeah, it was Olivia and me and Vincent and Jamie. [Side note… Jamie is a girl]  It was a chasing game.  Jamie was “it” and she had to catch us.  When she caught us she had to kiss us.

Me… (chuckling) Did she catch you?

Conor… Yeah, she caught all of us.

I briefly wonder at how Olivia felt about being caught and kissed.

Me… Whose idea was this game?   I had my suspicions on Jamie.

Conor… Vincent

He went on but I barely paid attention I was so shocked.  Shy little Asian Vincent!

Who knew!
